Welcome to U.P.M. Compounds
Since 2020, U.P.M. Compounds has become independent from its sister company, U.P.M. Kunststoffen. We now specialize separately in two main areas: PTFE compounds and regenerated PTFE, also known as micro powders. As our company name implies, we produce compounds for manufacturers of semifinished products. With a diverse range of product compounds, we are able to fulfill nearly all specifications.
PTFE Compounds
The production of our compounds consists of a dynamic and flexible approach so we can deliver products of the highest quality. With nearly 45 years of experience, we have become a reputable company in the PTFE market. Our skilled team enables us to create standard PTFE Compounds and develop special products for specific applications or industries, like aerospace and nuclear. Most often, our compounds are used for semifinished items, such as plates, bars, cylinders and blocks.
History
U.P.M. was founded in the early 80’s by Ed van Gilst. Since then, we have expanded our sales both domestically and internationally. In 2003, Robert, Ed van Gilst’s son, took over and accomplished significant growth. In the following years, we grew exponentially in personnel, markets and sales. In 2020, U.P.M. Compounds was born when it separated from its sister company, U.P.M. Kunststoffen. The compound activities, which used to be part of U.P.M. Kunststoffen, became a separate company which resulted in U.P.M. Compounds to this day.
